HTM professionals’ capabilities can have a dramatic impact on the acquisition, use, maintenance, and retirement of technology in their organizations. Ray Laxton, Chair of AAMI’s Board of Directors, will take you back to the beginning, when a 1971 Ralph Nader article provided a huge boost to the fledgling profession. Laxton asserts that we’re now on the precipice of another seismic event that could radically change the field—and we MUST be prepared for the inevitable changes. Put simply, you’ll have to change your future, or it’ll be changed for you!
